Hi ho. Kermit the Frog here with Seseame Street News. We have just heard that...
They have made a movie of Leonard Cohen's first (autobiographical) novel "The Favourite Game"! I hope it comes to Kingston soon. We should all go to see it, even though the reviews don't seem to be highly complimentary. Everyone in?

I think it is now time to seriously get back to work. I am back into my routine of up 'til 4-5 am, sleep in until noon or so. My body seems happy with me again. I have still been having bad dreams, but they are getting much better, if not 'good' yet. I have taken a bit of time to relax, watch movies, clean the house a little bit. I got to meet my new roommate last night, and she seems very nice. I am looking forward to spending the summer with her. She also has a fantastic summer job, in fact, what I would imagine as my ideal summer job. She gets to dress up in period costume and tell people about Canadian history, over at Fort Henry. Sadly, all the historic sites in Kingston are national historic sites, which requires a fluency in both official languages which I do not have. However, since my roommate is from Quebec, I hope that she will help me to improve my french over the summer. I have been watching "Blanche" in french again. I may try watching Blue, White and Red without subtitles, and see how that goes. I don't want to get too ambitious just yet. I still have to finish my last term paper. :)

Apparently J didn't read my WARNING about using notepad as Blogger has a nasty habit of eating really brilliant long blog entries, particularly when you don't have the time to rewrite them. (But who wants to do that anyway). Well, I hope that now you will know what I was talking about. Is that you who commented on my Live Journal? Thanks. :) I will post there again soon, promise. I am in the throws of paper writing just now, and should not be making any appearances here...but you know...internet is tempting, and I am having a minor case of writers block. I should go read instead, so that I will be reinspired. :)
What has happened to Zelda? We miss you! I know you are busy with all your Calgary friends, but I personally would love to be able to read about all the fun you are having in the snow while I am trapped in the house writing my papers. Really, I just hope you are having a great time out there!
Back to the grindstone...:)

It has been a busy day, and sadly, not busy with school work, or at least, not nearly as much as I would have liked. But, what can one do? My fantastic roommies are leaving me. I couldn't go without some kind of roommie bonding before they depart. And, there was the big gathering at the prof's house, which we had to make a showing at. I hear that Zelda might be burried in snow out west! Yikes! I hope that it doesn't come here. Winter will never end in this country I swear! I have almost given up hoping for summer weather. The summer dresses and bathing suits have been taunting me from the shop windows for far too long now. I was thinking I could be wearing such things by now. Now I am convinced that this town will never warm up, and that a hot day will be 12 degress. Just wait, just for that it will be so hot I will not be able to work or sleep. Sigh. I can never win.
